MEET YOUR GUIDE
CAPTAIN TORREY BANES
My name is Torrey Banes and I am the owner of Torrey's Sportfishing Adventures LLC. I am USCG licensed captain fishing guide here in Washington State. I am fully licensed, insured and CPR/First aid certified. I have been an absolute fishing fanatic since I could hold a fishing rod and immersed myself in all things fishing and enjoying all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
What is so great about this job is that I get to take people out, teach them and share an experience that they wouldn't get to have anywhere else!
One thing I like to emphasize is fishing is supposed to be about having fun. On my boat there is often a lot of laughing and hooting and hollering. Especially when the bite is hot and rods are going off left and right!!!

Our Services
KOKANEE
Landlocked Sockeye or "fun sized sockeye" as I like to call them. These tasty silver bullets provide steady action and are a blast for all ages. Kokanee are scrappy little fighters and are a thrill on light tackle. Our Kokanee average 10 to 13 inches and with a 10 fish limit per person there will be plenty of action and meat to take home. Being a sockeye salmon they are absolutely excellent table fair and perfect anyway you cook them.
When:
May, June and Fall months.
Location:
I fish for these in several north Puget sound area lakes. With the majority of my tips taking place in Lake Whatcom in Bellingham WA.
Price:
$175 per person. $150 per person with 3 people.
2 person Minimum, 3 person Maximum.
SOCKEYE SALMON
This is by far the most popular fishery that I guide for. Averaging 3 to 8lbs and known for their deep red meat and succulent rich taste, Sockeye are a PNW favorite. Sockeye fishing can often be as hot as the summer weather, with 2, 3 or 4 fish-on at one time not being uncommon. Sometimes in order to take advantage of great fishing I will offer both morning and mid-morning/afternoon trips (second trips). I will announce 2nd trips during the season on social media.
When:
July and August
Location:
Lake Wenatchee, Baker Lake and the upper Columbia River.
Price:
$250 per person.
2 person Minimum, 3 person Maximum. *
*Single seats are sometimes made available during 2nd Trips.
HUMPIES (odd years)
Humpies, also called Pinks, only return every 2 years, coming in thick in odd numbered years. This is a super fun and engaging fishery! These feisty salmon fight hard for their size and are known for going crazy right at the boat. What's even better are Humpies return in very large numbers, so there will be a lot of them around to provide plenty of action. We often cast light tackle at schools of fish making their way upriver. On the Snohomish River we fish down in tidewater, so all of the fish are fresh right out of the saltwater. So, if you're looking to have an absolute blast that you only can experience every 2 years, let's go!!
When:
Late August through September.
Location:
Snohomish River as well as other North Sound Rivers.
Price:
$200 per person for half day trips, $250 for full day trips.
2 person Minimum, 3 person Maximum.
COHO (SILVER SALMON)
Lastly we have Coho (Silvers) returning in the fall. These guys love to jump and are notorious for their famous "deathroll"! Our Coho run anywhere from 4 to 12lbs with mid to upper teens fish possible. This is another hands-on fishery and we employ a variety of techniques depending on where we will be fishing.
When:
October though November.
Location:
North Puget Sound Rivers.
Price:
$250 per person.
2-person min/max Drift boat trips.
